BOY SCOUT TROOP 312 FAMILY CAMPOUT AT\nKNOEBELS

When: Friday April 30th \nSunday May 2nd
\n\n
\n\n
Where: Knoebels Campground is next to Knoebels Amusement\nPark in Elysburg, Pa. It\nis approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes (120) miles from Budd Lake\nand it is a free admission park. There\nis no cost to you if you don't want to ride the rides. Food and drinks can be purchased at the park\nor you can pack a picnic lunch.

\n\n
Who: This\ntrip is open to all Troop 312 families; we would like to make this an event\nthat we can all enjoy together. \nNote: Families with children\nother than scouts who wish to attend will need to have at least 1 responsible adult\nin attendance.
\n\n
\n\n
Cost: $28 per person. Cost\nincludes 2 nights camping and food, not including Saturday lunch. Rides and Saturday lunch are the\nresponsibility of each scout/family.
\n\n
\n\n
Families\nare responsible for bringing their own tents. \nTent platforms are available and most sites have electric fairly\nclose. The minimum size of a platform is\napproximately 12'x20'. Some are\nlarger. I will get as many platform\nsites as possible, but cannot guarantee all sites will have platforms.
\n\n
Rustic\ncabins are available for those who may want to go but do not want to tent\ncamp. Information about the cabins is\navailable on the Knoebels website under Camping. Families who want to cabin camp will need to\nmake their own reservations and just pay for food. Bathrooms have flush toilets, hot and cold\nwater and showers. Coin operated washers\nand dryers are also available if needed.

Amusement Park Admission:
\n\n
Saturday\nMay 1st is the annual Scout Day at Knoebels.
\n\n
The\npark will be open from 12 noon to 6pm. Scouts\nand registered leaders pay $17 basic rides/$20 basic rides + wooden roller\ncoasters. Prices are slightly higher ($20/$24)\nfor non scouts. Ticket books ($5/$10) are\nalso available for those who don't want to ride all day but may want to ride a\nfew selected rides.

Scout\nprices are for registered scouts of all ages and leaders.

Signup\nsheets are available now at troop meetings.
\n\n
\n\n

The campground usually fills up quickly for this\nweekend. The sooner I have commitments, the sooner I can make a reservation. I plan to make a reservation on April 1st for\nthose who have signed up by that point. \nAfter that point the ability to add scouts/families will be limited by\nthe availability of campsites.
